Sailing

The 2016-17 Summer Sailing Season Series runs from September through to Easter. Check the calendar for events. We welcome monohull off-the-beach dinghies and skiffs.

To sail at DPSS, you must hold a current Australia Sailing Number New sailors are asked to become a member after sailing three sails from the club.

All boats sailing from DPSS must be registered. Click here for Boat Registration forms.

'Dolphins' Junior training is held 8:30 - 11:30am each Sunday Morning during the sailing season, weather permitting, in Sabots and OziOptis. The cost is $10 per participant per session. Those wishing to participate must have completed a Yachting Australia recognised Learn to sail course, be a member of DPSS and hold an Australian Sailing Number. We have a limited number of club Sabots available for use. If you have your own Sabot, please complete a 2016-17 Boat Registration form and ensure your boat has a current insurance Certificate of Currency with a public liability of at least $5million. Please contact us for more information.

Racing is held from 1:30pm each Sunday during the sailing season. Those wishing to compete in the 2016-17 Summer Sailing Series must  be a member of DPSS and hold an Australia Saiing Number. If you have your own boat, please complete a 2016-17 Boat Registration form and ensure your boat has a current insurance Certificate of Currency with a public liability of at least $5million.

Race fees: Members with Sabots $5 per race day; Members with other classes of dinghies and skiffs $10; Visitors - Juniors (Sabots and Optis) $10 per race day; Visitors - other classes $15 per race day. This does not include race fees for regattas held at DPSS

Please check this space on Sundays after 11am if the weather is inclement. A notice to cancel or postpone racing will be announced here.

2016-17 sailing at DPSS

 Racing is open to off-the-beach dinghies and skiffs. Competitors must hold a Australian Sailing Number and his/her boat must have current and valid insurance. After three races with our club, we ask that you become a member. Boats sailing from DPSS must be registered at DPSS.
