Sailing

Afternoon racing is open to off-the-beach monohull dinghies and skiffs. Skippers and crews must hold a current membership with a club affiliated with Australian Sailing. After competing in three races within one season, we ask new sailors to become members of DPSS prior to their 4th race.  

Summer Series

The Summer Sailing Season Series runs from September through to Easter each year.  Racing is held from 1:30 pm each Sunday during the Summer sailing season. Those wishing to compete in the Summer Sailing Series must  be a member of DPSS. If you have your own boat, please register your boat through the online Season entry and ensure your boat has a current insurance Certificate of Currency with third party insurance of at least $10 million per incident or equivalent.

Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for the 2026/2027 Summer Series. The NOR has been amended to update the briefing time as of 17/9/26. 

All boats racing in the summer series must register to receive a result. This is also a safety requiremnt of the club.

🐬'Dolphins' Junior training is held 8:30 - 11:30 am each Sunday morning during school term of the sailing season and on Winter race days, weather permitting, in Sabots. Check the Dolphins page for further information.
